Spring Goddess Retreat Spell Jars

We'll quickly go over what a spell jar is, what's in your kit, and how to make your spell jars!

What is a Spell Jar?

A spell jar is a form of spell work that is relatively low energy and great for beginner & advanced practitioners alike.

How do I make one?

Start by choosing your intention. Are you looking to manifest more happiness in your life? Abundance? Self-love? Protection? The possibilities are endless, and your intention can be as broad or as specific as you’d like. As you get more advanced and comfortable in your practice, creating more specific intentions will come naturally! For these particular kits, the main undertone is connecting to and awakening our inner goddess.

Okay, my jar is done. Now, what do I do with it?

You can set it on your altar or another sacred space if you have one, or if you don’t, you can leave it on your dresser, windowsill, countertop, shelf, etc. Just be careful by windows that get a lot of light as some stones can fade in the sunlight. You can also carry it around with you, or place it by a mirror to remind yourself to take care of and love what you see in the mirror!

Should I cleanse or charge my spell jars?

You can absolutely cleanse and charge your spell jars whenever you see fit. Here are a few great options:

Leaving them to charge during the new and/or full moons is a popular choice.
Leave them to charge in the sun. (Again, please be mindful of this one as some crystals can fade in the sunlight.)
Smoke cleanse with incense or herb blends.
Place your jar on a selenite charging plate. (We included one in your kit!)
Create and draw a sigil on a piece of wood or even paper and set your jar on top to charge your jar. (We can thank Doctor Witch for this tip!)
Sit with your jar in your hands and take some deep, cleansing breaths. Imagine your power and intention flowing through your hands and into the jar with each breath.

Okay, so now that you have an understanding of spell jars, let's get into what ingredients are in your spell kits!

Lavender Rose Quartz - love, self love, compassion, heart healing

Citrine - happiness, abundance, confidence

Sunstone - abundance, joy, creativity, leadership, sexuality

Amethyst - balance, comfort, calming, protection against negativity, healing

Carnelian - grounding, motivation, strength, passion, fertility, creativity, sexuality

Lepidolite - anxiety relief, promotes self awareness, coping with change, balance & stability

Labradorite - intellect, psychic abilities, protection, transformation, awakens your spirit

Amazonite - helps you speak your truth & set boundaries, harmony, balance, creativity, clears thoughts, soothes trauma

Clear Quartz - clarity, balance, amplifies other crystals

Creating your Spell Jars

Okay, now you're ready to create your own spell jars to awaken your inner goddess! We included two jars, one for your sacred space & a keychain to carry with you. Here's a step by step (with some optional ways you can customize your magick marked with a *)

Gather your ingredients
*Cleanse your jar/s with incense smoke
*Write your intentions on a small piece of paper, fold it up and put it in your jar
Put your ingredients in the jar in any order you choose, though I recommend topping off with clear quartz
When the jar is full, put the cork in
*Now you can take a candle to seal the jar physically and magickally. To do this, light a taper or chime candle, hold it horizontally with the top of it directly above the jar and let the wax drip down over the jar until you feel like it is completely sealed.
Your jar is done! Now you can place it wherever you feel called to or carry it with you.
